Thrive Safety & Standards
Controlled. Monitored. Accountable.
At Thrive, we produce raw nutrition with the discipline of a food manufacturer — not the mindset of a hobby brand.
- Raw feeding is powerful when done correctly. It also requires structure. Our Safety & Standards framework is built on a preventive, science-led HACCP system designed to manage biological risk from sourcing to serving.
- We do not rely on assumptions.
- We rely on controls.
Our Preventive Food Safety System
Thrive operates under a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) model aligned with international food-safety principles, including guidance from the Codex Alimentarius Commission.
- Identify biological risks inherent in raw animal proteins
- Establish measurable control points
- Monitor and document critical limits
- Verify outcomes through testing
- Continuously improve systems
1. Ethical & Controlled Sourcing
Safety begins before production.
- Proteins are sourced from inspected, regulated facilities
- Suppliers are vetted for traceability and cold-chain compliance
- Wild-caught fish is traceable to harvest region
- Deliveries are temperature-verified upon receipt
We work only with suppliers who understand that quality is non-negotiable.
2. Cold Chain Integrity
Temperature control is our primary microbial-growth limiter.
- Immediate freezer storage upon arrival
- Continuous temperature monitoring
- Strict FIFO inventory rotation
- Segregated raw-storage zones
There is no uncontrolled thawing, no ambient storage, and no shortcuts.
3. Controlled Formulation
Thrive recipes are engineered, not improvised.
- Organ ratios are precisely balanced
- Fat levels are intentional and monitored
- Ingredient inclusion rates are measured, not guessed
- No high-heat processing that compromises nutrient integrity
Our formulations prioritise both nutritional density and biological stability.
All recipes are aligned with the following international guidelines:
- NRC (National Research Council of the National Academies)
- Fediaf (The European Pet Food Industry)
- SACN (Small Animal Clinical Nutrition)
4. Hygienic Production Environment
- Every surface that touches Thrive food is treated as a control point.
- Stainless-steel equipment
- Scheduled sanitisation between batches
- Staff hygiene protocols and PPE
Clean production is a system, not a slogan.
5. Shared Responsibility: Safe Handling at Home
Raw nutrition requires proper handling. We provide clear guidance to customers:
- Thaw in refrigeration
- Wash hands and surfaces thoroughly
- Use stainless-steel bowls
- Discard uneaten portions promptly
- Exercise additional caution in households with young children, elderly individuals, or immunocompromised members
Our Commitment
Thrive exists to deliver biologically appropriate nutrition without compromising safety.
- Transparency builds trust
- Discipline builds resilience
- Systems build scale
- Raw feeding is not reckless.
- It is responsible — when managed correctly.
- Thrive is built to manage it correctly.
